Regular meetings:

  • All meetings are held at 1 PM on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted.
  • Members of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Westminster, met May 12 for their annual Spring Luncheon at the Inn at Roops Mill in Westminster. Honored guests included Julie Gibbs, GFWC Maryland President; Anne Forrester, GFWC Western District President; Babs Condon, GFWC Second Vice-President; and Joyce Race, GFWC Maryland Director of Junior Clubs. Fifty-year pins were presented by the GFWC Maryland President to Eve Schaeffer, Pat Amass, Joan Hollinger, and Tata Welliver for their many years of service to the club. In addition, the club recognized Sharon Quinter as our Maryland representative of LEADS (Leadership Education and Development Seminar) at the GFWC Annual International Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. The guest speaker was Master Sergeant Thomas Smith of the United States Air Force who gave an informative presentation on “The Many Hats of the Military” which included a collection of various helmets as well as an East German uniform along with an US jacket worn under the command of General Eisenhower.
