Members of the International Affairs Committee met on December 1st at the New Windsor Brethren Center - helping to fill and pack orders for the fair trade organization called SERRV whose mission is ‘to eradicate poverty wherever it resides’. These club members volunteer their services each month to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Regular meetings:

  • All meetings are held at 1 PM on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted.
  • January 6: Board meeting at the home of Jeanne Herr.
  • January 13: Meet at 1PM at the Carroll Community non-profit building, 255 Clifton Blvd. Program: Chief Jeff Spalding of the Westminster City Police - "Home and Personal Safety". Hostesses: Public Affairs Department.
  • February 10: Meet at 1PM at the Carroll Community non-profit building, 255 Clifton Blvd. Program: Dawn Kershner, M.D., Union Memorial Cardiologist - "Women's Heart Health". Hostesses: Home Life Department.
  • March 3: Board meeting at the home of Billie White.
  • March 10: Meet at 1PM at the Carroll Community non-profit building, 255 Clifton Blvd. Program: Chairmen have Year End Reports, Hostesses: Arts Department.
  • April 14: Meet at 1PM at the Carroll Community non-profit building, 255 Clifton Blvd. Program: Steve Allgeier "Patio and Container Gardening". Hostesses: Conservation Department.
  • May 12: Annual Spring Luncheon at Bentley's Barn, Hanover, PA. 12 noon - 3pm. Program: Thomas Smith - "The Many Hats of the Military".

  • Celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday Our members will be reading to over 1500 elementary school children on Feb.27 and March 2. Each will receive a brand new book for their very own and some classes will be served a special treat of Green Eggs and Ham. For more information or to volunteer to read: please call 410-848-9036.
  • International Affairs Volunteer each month at New Windsor Brethren Service Center.
  • Home Life Dept. Volunteers for West End Place.
