Organized in 1924, the Woman’s Community Club of Kensington was federated in 1925.  During its 85 YEARS, it has held meetings in venues throughout Greater Kensington. 

Among the highlights of its history, WCCK was the first Maryland club to collect change for UNICEF, one of its members founded Montgomery County’s “Over 60 Employment and Counseling Service," and the Club helped furnish Montgomery College’s Vocational Guidance Center.

Upcoming Events

• Sept 13, 2010 – General Meeting -- Historical novelist Lucia St. Clair Robson, who’s LAST TRAIN FROM CUERNAVACA was published in April, will speak about the period of the Mexican Revolution.

• Oct 11, 2010
– General Meeting -- Margaret Jurgensen, Director, Montgomery County Board of Elections, will talk about changes in election law and voting methods, particularly easing the requirements for absentee voting and opportunities for early voting.

• Dec 9, 2010
(Tentative) – The Garden Club will design and make Holiday table arrangements with Kensington Park Retirement Community residents.  (Annual Event)

• Dec 13, 2010
(Tentative) – General Meeting – Grace Episcopal Day School Bell Choir musical program and collection for long-distance phone cards for wounded military
